Corazón offers a warm, homelike space that welcomes and supports spiritual growth and deepening, both alone and in community. The mid-nineteenth-century townhouse that houses Corazón features original woodwork and details and provides several different spaces for quiet prayer or small-group sharing. |
Because we believe that we are each one body/soul/spirit whole, Corazón’s space comes equipped with materials to support prayer that engages all aspects of our being—books, music, art materials, furniture and cushions to allow for different postures in prayer, and other resources to engage the mind, the heart, and the senses.

Downstairs are a kitchen/multipurpose room with a small library of books to nourish prayer, and a parlor capable of accommodating groups of up to 10-12. RitualSong, Breaking Bread, and Lead Me, Guide Me hymnals are availabe for individual or group use, along with a keyboard. There are also art materials and journaling resources. |
| Upstairs is a small chapel, bathroom, and a sleeping room for a single overnight retreatant (also serves as a break-out room for small groups). The chapel is equipped with tapes, CD’s, music player, and a variety of materials inviting exploration of different forms of prayer. |

Corazón also offers an outdoor chapel or quiet reflective space, as well as access to a landscaped park across the street; the shaded, inviting streets of its historic neighborhood; and a variety of downtown resources for prayer and spiritual growth (we provide a list of suggestions). |
Since the space is small and intimate, and in order to create and maintain an atmosphere of focused attention without distraction, there are no dual bookings. An individual or a group coming to Corazón would have the entire space at their disposal.
Regrettably, owing to the mid-nineteenth-century architecture and the constraints of being in a designated historic district, Corazón’s facility is not handicapped-accessible.
No smoking is permitted at any time on the premises.
While we do not provide food service to retreatants, the kitchen (fully equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and disposer) is available for those who wish to bring their own food. We also make available a list of suggested nearby sources for catered or prepared food to be delivered or picked up. In addition, many restaurants representing a wide variety of styles and price ranges can be found in the downtown area surrounding Corazón. |
